Capitalism is collapsing…
...so let’s go shopping!
Step inside the Duckie superstore and witness the decaying arcades of branded Britain.
Conspicuous consumption thrives in this promenade performance
featuring saucy shopaholics, supermarket sweepers and sweatshop santas.
Purchase your dreams – love, peace and happiness – all boxed up as consumer durables.
In an age when we know the Katie Price of everything and the value of nothing,
this rollicking good romp asks: Does Christmas mean more than shopping?
A post-panto promenade performance for festive benders, yuletide trenders, former youth offenders, corporate defenders and hey big spenders.
Made by and starring the Duckie All Stars:
Scottee, Harold Offeh, Jess Love, Ryan Styles,
Bird la Bird, Susannah Hewlett, Sheila Ghelani,
Roy Kerr, H Plewis and Dickie Beau
Costumed by Nicholas Immaculate Songs by Gus Gowland
Continuing our tradition of alternative Christmas shows,
after The Class Club and the Olivier Award-winning C’est Barbican!,
the collective return to the Barbican with more original festive fare.

This was a grown up show but older kids – aged 11+ - liked it too.
'It is a gloriously gleeful and strangely affecting climax that lays bare the hollowness of a commercialised Christmas and reminds you why Duckie are not just rogueish pranksters, but chroniclers of the sickness at the heart of 21st-century life.'
The Guardian
‘The most fun you’ll have in a theatre all year – guaranteed.’
