Effeminate homosexuals were barred and women vaguely tolerated as designer Robin Whitmore turned The Coronet into an interactive nightclub-theatre with the aesthetics of a giant fucking mini-cab office: sticky, brown, stained, a bit pongee and distinctly lacking a feminine touch.
Starred Justin Bond, Marisa Carnesky, Scottee, Helen Plewis, Bearlesque, Timberlina, Jack, Susannah Hewlett, Hannah Eaton, Russell Harries, Charlie Pulford, Chris Green, Laura Bridgeman, Paola Cavallin, Dominic Johnson, Dicky Eton, Owen Parry, Andrew Mitchelson, Mathew Robins, Tim Spooner, Anthony Schrag, Pau Ros, Tom McLeod, Steven Whinnery, Brian Lobel, David Iriarte, Howard Hardiman, Sue Frumin, Ella Simpson, Thom Shaw, Ryan Ormonde, Roy Kerr, Jay Cloth, Lush, Lucille Power, Harold Offeh, The Lauderettas and Miss High Leg Kick.
No pink, no make up, no heels, no floral patterns, no humanity.
